本業務は、イタリアが主導するＧ７会合において、Ｇ７札幌会合で得た成果を前進させ、各国が具体的な行動を推進できるような合意を得るために、我が国の交渉を支援することを目的としている。特に、過去のＧ７成果の分析、議論の背景や課題の整理、会合資料の作成および翻訳などを通じ、会合の成果が環境政策の推進に資するよう、業務を行った。
