Prevention of Misconduct in Research and in the Execution of Research Funds

The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) has formulated the "Regulations on the Prevention of Academic/Financial Misconducts in Research Activities” based on the "Guidelines for Responding to Misconduct in Research" (adopted by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on 26 August, 2014) and the "Guidelines for Management and Audit of Public Research Funds at Research Institutions (Implementation Standards)" (adopted by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on 15 February, 2007 (revised on 1 February, 2021), in Japanese). Accordingly, the institute is committed to preventing misconduct in research and in the execution of research funds.

In addition, based on the above regulations, the institute has established a contact point for consultation and reporting on misconduct as follows:
