At the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), we are putting in place a strategic structure to realise a sustainable society on a global scale. We have set up an Affiliate Members Organisation for those wishing to support the activities of IGES. We hope to promote understanding of many different aspects of our founding aims and project tasks, and your continued assistance and cooperation are great appreciated.
Member Privileges
1 Priority access to Global Environmental Seminars, symposiums etc.
As well as access to the Global Environmental Seminars held to consider and act upon global environmental issues along with IGES, members will get priority access to various events sponsored or co-sponsored by IGES. For section projects they will be able to participate free of charge.

2 Forwarding of various publications
We will send IGES-published annual reports, other written reports from IGES to the location of your choice.3 Logo Posting on IGES website (For members of Foundations/Companies and NGOs)
We will post the logo of foundations, Companies and NGOs in specific areas of the IGES website to show their understanding and support of IGES research activities.
Categories and Membership Fees for Affiliate Members
Affiliate Members are divided into four categories: foundations/Companies, NGOs, private persons, and students. The Admission Fee and yearly contribution fee of each type of member is as follows:

* When student members lose their student status, their membership will be withdrawn, but if they re-register as individual members, they will be exempt from the Admission Fee.
* IGES Membership Fees from Affiliate Members are allocated to studies and research activities for our strategic research. These activities are undertaken as business for public interest purposes and so those paying the fees are eligible for a tax break.
