本業務では、東アジア地域において、先行して導入されている排出量取引制度の動向とその効果等の調査・分析を行った。具体的には、中国と韓国の2か国を対象とし、これまで実施された業務で既に収集済みの情報を基に、2024年度の最新情報を含む基礎的情報の収集を実施した。そして、排出量取引制度に関する各国の取組の進展、とりわけアジア地域における制度の状況等を踏まえ、日本・中国・韓国の3か国の政府機関・研究機関等と協力して、第9回日中韓カーボンプライシングフォーラムを東京にて開催した。本フォーラムでは、排出量取引制度を含むカーボンプライシングに関する各国の経験の共有や、各国で運用されている制度上の課題と解決策、さらには今後の協力について議論した。

IEA,UNEP等の主要国際機関の報告書から、鉱物資源に関する国際的な議論動向 について、循環経済観点から整理した。

IGESは、国立環境研究所が主催する、生物多様性及び生態系サービスに関する政府間科学･政策プラットフォーム（IPBES）が、2024年12月に公表した2つの報告書（『ネクサス』と『社会変革』）についてのウェビナーを共催した。そのウェビナーにおいて執筆者として参画した社会変革アセスメントについて解説した発表資料である。『社会変革』では自然の損失を回復に向かわせる際の障害や乗り越え方、良い取り組み事例について分析し、それぞれ具体的なポイントを提示されている。
