セメント産業は、世界で3番目に大きなエネルギー消費産業で、2番目に大きなCO2排出産業である。本事業は、インドネシアのバンテン州と西ジャワ州の２つの州にまたがって、都市間連携と民間連携を通して、セメント産業の脱炭素化を、サプライチェーン全体を視野に入れたCO2排出削減を通して実現する可能性を調査するものである。具体的には、①産業廃棄物のセメント原燃料化、②一般廃棄物の燃料化、③都市間連携を通した廃棄物管理の向上、④セメント工場への省エネ技術の導入、⑤セメント原燃料化推進に係る制度構築支援に取り組み、対象都市に様々なコベネフィットを提供することを目指した。

アジア地域の水質に関する問題を解決するためには、関係者の間で共通認識を持つことが重要であることを考慮し、アジア水環境パートナーシップ（WEPA）では、このイニシアティブで蓄積された情報及び知識、並びに人的ネットワークを活用して、「水環境管理に関するWEPAアウトルック」を定期的に作成しています。この報告書は、アジア地域の行政官、専門家及び水セクターのその他関係者を対象に、水環境の現状及び管理の状況に関する最新かつ有益な情報を提供することを目的としています。本報告書は、世界のその他の地域において水質問題に取り組んでいる関係者にとっても有益な情報源となるよう、これまで、2009年にイスタンブールで、2012年にマルセイユで、2015年に大邱・慶州で、2018年にブラジリアで...
