At the Global Forum on Environment: promoting Sustainable Materials Management through Extended Producer Responsibility held in June 2014 in Tokyo, a group of Japanese experts submitted a list of recommendations for updating OECD Guidance Manual on EPR.

The workshop to launch S-16 project in Asia was organised in October 20-21, 2016. Ryu Koide made a presentation on the mapping of the past and on-going research projects related to Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in other regions with a case study of EU projects.
