２０１７年からスタートした雄安新区・始動区域の建設は、２０２０年以降のコロナの影響により一時期の停滞期を経験したものの、中国政府によるコロナ規制の緩和を受け、２０２３年に入ってから再び建設ラッシュを取り戻した。繁忙期には３８㎡範囲の建設エリアに3.5万人が稼働している。現在、雄安新区では240以上の都市インフラ事業が展開されており、累計投資総額は8000億元（約16兆円）に達し、昨年だけで２０００億元の投資が着地した。
