日本記者クラブ主催の「科学記者対象ゼミ」において「海洋プラスチックごみ問題」の第２弾「対策編」に登壇。 大阪で開かれたＧ20サミットで主要議題となった海洋プラスチックごみ問題の国際的な政策は池について説明。 主に科学記者を対象に、統計データなどを基に海洋プラスチックの管理や対策の国内外動向、今後の課題などについて対話を行った。

本稿は、コロナ禍における大気汚染・気候変動・保健の関係性を説明し、これらの課題に対する統合的なアプローチの必要性を強調している。各国でコロナ復興策が決定される中、より良い復興を実現するには、短期的にはコロナ対策を実施し、長期的には温室効果ガス（ＧＨＧ）を多く排出するような開発を避けるといった、統合的な判断が鍵となる。IGESのトリプルRフレームワークを活用し、大気の質や気候、ひいては健康の向上につながるための統合的な取り組みについて述べている。 本稿は、Asian Co-benefits Partnershipの ポリシーブリーフ（英語のみ）の一部を基に再構成されたものである。
