兵庫県では2019 年2 月に策定した第5 次兵庫県環境基本計画を2024 年度内に改定することとし,それに2050年に社会の中心を担う現在の若者世代の意見を反映させるため,「ひょうご環境未来会議」を開催することとなった。その企画・運営を公益財団法人地球環境戦略研究機関(IGES)関西研究センターが支援することとなり,県関係者との協議の結果,会議に将来世代の視点を取り込める「フューチャー・デザイン」を採用することとし,それを推進する大阪大学大学院工学研究科・原圭史郎教授に学術指導を依頼した。本稿はその経緯及び成果,その実施から得られた示唆をまとめる.なお本会議の詳細は「令和6年度ひょうご環境未来会議企画運営事業報告書」にまとめられている。
