一般社団法人 企業と生物多様性イニシアティブ（JBIB）が、武蔵野大学附属千代田高等学院・千代田女学園中学校と、次世代×JBIBコラボワークショップ「中・高校生×JBIBで考える海洋プラスチックごみ問題の解決に向けて私たちができること」を2019年11月6日(水)と16日(土)の2日間にわたり開催した。武蔵野大学附属千代田高等学院・千代田女学園中学校から、延べ32名の学生たちが2日間にわたり参加した。 11月6日（水）の初日は、オリエンテーションとして、2日間のワークショップで考えること、出すアイデアの方向性を全員で共有した。その後、「海洋プラスチックごみ問題に関する国際的な動向」について公益財団法人地球環境戦略研究機関（IGES）の堀田康彦より解説した。

「絶滅危惧種に対する脅威の30%は国際貿易によるものである (Lenzen et al. 2012) 」という知見に対して、「認証の導入はこの脅威を緩和し得るのか？」という問いを扱う。
