『CDM入門』は、CDMへの参加が国にもたらす価値や便益、CDMプロジェクトの同定・開発・融資・実施、さらにはCDMプロジェクトによる排出削減のモニタリング・報告･検証･認証までの一連の流れを要約したものである。 この入門書はデンマークの国連エネルギー環境計画協力研究センター（UNEP Collaborating Centre on Energy and Environment）であるリソ国立研究所による“CDMのための能力構築プロジェクト”の一環として作成された。このプロジェクトの全体目的は、開発途上国でのCDM実施のための制度的・人的な能力開発にある。 このプロジェクトは、オランダ外務省からの基金を受けている。
