本研究では事例研究として，日本及び東南アジア諸国連合地域（以下ASEAN地域と略す）における地域社会やコミュニティレベルでSCP（持続可能な消費と生産）への転換に資する取組の現状を把握した。また，これらの取組を活性化・定着できた条件を探り，支援の方向性も検討した。 日本及びASEAN地域では多様な，SCPへの転換に資する小規模，分散的な取組が多く存在している。すべての取組は，人々の暮らしや地域の直面している課題をきっかけに始まっており，環境面の持続可能性とはマルチ・ベネフィットとして共存している。各取組はその主体と関係者との関係性から大きく次の三タイプに分けることができた；（1）ステークホルダー間の連携に基づいた協働型；（2）住民主導・主体とするニッチ型；（3）行政主導...

バンコク都は東南アジア有数の大都市で、急速な経済発展の中で、廃棄物発生量が年々増加。市域内に最終処分場を確保できないため、廃棄物処理の適正化は喫緊の課題である。バンコク都の食品ロスの削減策を模索するため、2017年12月に、タイのバンコク都の都市部および都市近郊における本調査を実施した。性別・年齢・職業の配分のバランスを考慮して、路上でランダムに選び、参加同意を確認した上、調査を行った。なるべく調査回答者の負担を減らし、また調査回答者に十分質問の意味を理解させるために、調査員と調査回答者は一対一でインタビュー調査を行った。また、廃棄物発生量に関する統計データを結合し、バンコク都の食品ロスの現状と直面する課題を明らかにした。
