日本の環境国際協力では，市民への環境教育など市町村が持つ経験が活用されている。しかし，財政難によって市町村による環境国際協力にも地元への見返りが求められ始めており，国際協力の内容が制約されるおそれがある。本稿では，市町村の強みを活かす環境国際協力を継続するために，市町村中心で行うエコポイント事業からの寄付の活用について検討した。第一に，2010 年12 月現在で実施中のエコポイント事業を調べた結果，市内の植樹等への寄付を含む事業はあるが，海外の環境対策への寄付を含む事業は見いだされなかった。第二に，国際協力に熱心な北九州市と横浜市で無作為抽出した成人市民各1,757 名を対象に実施した社会調査の結果，全体的な傾向として...
