本報告書は、環境省委託事業「2019 年度二国間クレジット制度（JCM）に関する世界銀行との協力及びSDGs への貢献等調査支援委託業務」に関する成果をまとめたものである。本業務では、2019年7月に締結された世界銀行と環境省間のJCMに関する協力覚書に基づき、パリ協定6条の実施やJCMプロジェクトのスケールアップ、国際展開の推進等に向け、案件発掘や情報発信等に関する支援業務を実施するとともに、JCMを通じたSDGsの達成評価や具体的な貢献等の調査、JCMとSDGsの連携に向けた戦略策定等を行った。

本レポートはJCM とSDGs の関連性をまとめた最初の出版物であり、JCM を通したSDGs の目標とターゲットへの貢献のあり方を明らかにすることを目的としています。JCM プロジェクトは、日本企業と現地企業が共同で実施する民間主導によるビジネスが主となります。実際にプロジェクトを実施している企業にインタビューを行い、その内容を記事にまとめることで、民間企業の視点も含んだレポートとなっています。 JCM とSDGs の関連性を理解することは、JCM を通したSDGs 達成に向けた取組をさらに加速するための重要な一歩になると考えています。
