Pro-growth carbon pricing mechanism: Practical path toward net-zero emissions

Aiming to help policy understanding of China's audiences and using the platform of a newly launched journal in Chinese, this article introduces the practices of growth-oriented carbon pricing mechanisms of Japan for realizing net-zero emissions by this mid-century. The main contents include the background on mitigation target setting, assessment on the effectiveness of ongoing policy measure, and the plan and consideration about future policy implementation. This may be beneficial for mutual learning of climate policies among east Asian countries.
