二十一世紀も一年がたちました。「環境の世紀」といわれていますが、企業の情報開示の面 でも様々な取り組みがなされています。ここでは主に、事業活動全体についての環境に関する実績を説明する環境報告書について、現状と課題を述べます。 環境報告書の発行企業数はここ数年大幅に増加しています。環境省の「環境にやさしい企業行動調査」によれば、一九九九年には環境報告書を発行した企業は二七〇社（内、九五社が非上場企業）でした。それが二〇〇〇年度には四三〇社（内、一五六社が非上場企業）に増えています。 環境省では二〇〇一年二月に、環境報告書作成のためのガイドラインを発行しています。そこでは、環境保全に関する方針や環境マネジメントシステムに関する状況、環境負荷の低減に向けた取り組みの状況など...
