一般市民を対象とした社会調査を横浜市と北九州市で行い，地球温暖化及び国際協力に関する態度から市民をグループ分けし，都市間環境国際協力に対する支持構造を明らかにした。調査では都市間環境協力の支持の程度，及び協力において重視する点，日本政府の京都議定書達成のための途上国からの排出枠利用に対する考え方，日常生活における温暖化対策行動の実施状況，ボランティア実績，海外寄付実績，途上国訪問経験などを尋ねるとともに，調査謝礼を原資とするカーボンオフセットの実施機会を提供してカーボンオフセットに関する市民の実際の行動を把握した。主成分分析及びクラスター分析の結果，排出枠利用肯定環境国際貢献派，排出枠利用否定環境国際貢献派，排出枠利用肯定環境国際貢献消極派...
