Awareness workshop on the opportunities of adoption of Japanese Low Carbon Technologies (LCTs) in the compressed air system

This proceedings is related to the awareness workshop on the opportunities of adoption of Japanese Low Carbon Technologies (LCTs) in the compressed air system in India on 25 January 2020 at Mumbai, India.

The key objectives of the workshop were to:

• Increase awareness about energy efficient air compressors and peripherals (hard technologies) along with effective operating practices for the overall compressed air system (soft technologies) among Indian small medium enterprises (SMEs).

• Explore possibilities of strengthening Japan-India cooperation through JITMAP* initiative by investigating the potential of transferring Japanese LCTs for CO2 emission reduction.

It was conducted under the JITMAP, specifically as part of the activities under the project on evaluation and verification of CO2 emissions reduction technologies (TA project) commissioned from MOEJ to IGES in FY2020.

* JITMAP; ʻJapan-India Technology Matchmaking Platformʼ, a bilateral multi-stakeholders' platform to facilitate dissemination of Japanese LCTs which are beneficial for all the relevant stakeholders.
