アジア太平洋における持続可能な消費と生産:資源制約を乗り越えてアジアは豊かさを実現できるか所収
本章ではSCPのより広い捉え方に立って、地域協力がアジア太平洋地域のSCPの推進に果たすことになる将来的な役割を論じる。広義のSCPとは、あらゆる人々、特に貧困層に自らの必要を満たせるだけの消費の機会を与えることを含むものである。IGESの定量的研究に基づく3事例を紹介し、SCPの実現には地域協力や国際協調の下での取り組みが必要で、それによって負の波及効果に対処し、国内の対策を効果的に普及することが可能になるという本研究の仮説を検証する。主な結論は以下の通りである。 ―地域協力や国際協力を通して互いに相手を利するような解決策を見出すことが、広義のSCPを推進する上では必要不可欠である。 ―経済のグローバル化や国境を越えた環境汚染が進む中、SCPを国内で推進するだけでは...
