環境という要因が企業経営に与える影響が大きくなるとともに、環境報告書を作成する企業が増加している。環境省が毎年行っている「環境にやさしい企業行動に関するアンケート調査」によれば、環境報告書作成・公表数は1998年には 197件であったが、1999年は270件、2000年は430件と急増し、2001年には579件に達している。近年世論においても環境への意識が高まり、企業の環境に対する行動は益々重要性を増しているため、この傾向は今後も継続するものと考えられる。 環境報告書に記載される情報は、企業の環境保全活動に関する行動目標とその実行結果及び、企業の環境負荷の記録である。これらの情報は企業外部に公表されエコファンドや格付けなどの企業評価等に利用されている...
