Promoting SCP model and beyond for the decarbonized and circular economy

Asia Pacific Roundtable for SCP (APRSCP), IGES, Thai SCP Net, and Viet Nam's Institute for Circular Economy Development co-organized a special session on "Promoting SCP model and beyond for the decarbonized and circular economy" at the 3RINCs 2026 held in Bangkok on March 9-11, 2026.

The session was organized to  

1. Showcase National SCP-CE Models: Present national strategies, such as Thailand's Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy National Strategy and Vietnam's Circular Economy National Action Plan. 
2. Identify Collaboration Needs: Highlight the necessary collaboration mechanisms (business-academia-government) for developing and scaling up circular business/service models. 
3. Propose Future Research: Set the stage for identifying joint research and model project considerations between Japan and ASEAN countries for 2026 and 2027.
