本冊子は、IPBES第10回総会（2023年8-9月、ドイツ・ボンで開催）で承認された侵略的外来種とその管理に関するテーマ別評価の政策決定者向け要約（SPM）ファクトシートの、環境省とIGESによる和訳です。ファクトシートは侵略的外来種とその管理に関するテーマ別評価のSPMから、特定のテーマに関する重要な要素を抜粋して作成されています。本冊子は一連のファクトシートのうちの一部であり、侵略的外来種の傾向とその影響について記載されています。

2023年8月28日から9月2日にかけて開催されたIPBES総会第10回会合において、侵略的外来種とその管理に関するテーマ別評価報告書の政策決定者向け要約(SPM)が承認、発表されました。この評価報告書は、侵略的外来種が地球上の自然と人々にどのような影響を与えるかを探るものであり、地球上のすべての地域における外来種と侵略的外来種の現状と傾向を分析し、それらの種が国内外から導入され、拡散する主な経路と要因を特定しています。また、侵略的外来種の様々な規模や状況における管理活動について、有効性を評価した上で、それらの予防、早期発見、効果的な防除、そしてその影響の軽減のための主要な対応策と政策オプションの概要を示しています。この資料は、SPMの概要をスライド1枚にまとめたものです。
