Objectives and Background of Expert and Policy Dialogue on Two Global Assessments on Policy Response to Plastic Pollution

By utilizing the opportunity of Regional Consultation on INC in Asia and the Pacific held on March 5 and 6 2024 in Bangkok, the hybrid webinar was organized as an opportunity to have a policy-expert dialogue on on-going works to prepare more policy-relevant analysis on plastic pollution and effectiveness of policy responses coordinated by leading policy think-tanks in Asia and the Pacific; namely OECD, ERIA, and IGES. This provided opportunity to policy makers, negotiators, and policy analysts on plastic pollution to exchange expert opinions on data availability, needs for evidence-based policy making as well as policy recommendations to achieve Osaka Blue Ocean Vision.
