本冊子は、IPBES第9回総会（2022年7月、ドイツ・ボンで開催）で承認されたIPBES自然の多様な価値と価値評価の方法論に関する評価報告書の、環境省とIGESによる和訳です。自然の多様な価値と価値評価の方法論に関する評価報告書は、人々の良質な生活と地球上の生命を調和させ、持続可能な開発において相互に絡み合っている経済・社会・環境の側面をバランスよく発展させるための経路を示すガイダンスを提供しています。また、様々な世界観と価値観の関係に関する理解、および価値の類型、ならびに自然の価値の評価手法と評価プロセスの設計と実施、ならびに自然の多様な価値を意思決定と政策決定に組み込むための指針が含まれています。
