G7、すなわちGroup of 7は、日本、アメリカ、イギリス、イタリア、カナダ、ドイツ、フランスの7カ国に加えて欧州連合（EU）から構成され、首脳級のサミットのほかに、特定の分野に関する大臣会合を毎年開催しています。2023年のG7は日本が議長国を務め、5月19日～21日に広島でサミットが開催されるほか、気候・エネルギー・環境大臣会合をはじめとする14の大臣会合が日本各地でそれぞれ開催されます。日本は議長国としてG7の優先議題を設定し、議論を牽引するなど、リーダーシップを発揮することが期待され
