Relatório de Progresso Dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável do Município do Rio de Janeiro
Insights of the Report
In preparing its long-term vision towards 2050, Rio de Janeiro is turning to the SDGs to guide the first stage of implementation to coincide with the 2030 deadline set by the SDGs. As such, Rio de Janeiro is working towards accelerating the localisation of the global goals. This is the foundation of the Agenda Rio 2030, the city’s first VLR. The VLR aligns the challenges facing Rio de Janeiro with the SDGs. The VLR report summarises this project aiming at achieving a solid, inclusive, participatory, innovative and goal-oriented planning model for the city, focusing specially on those more in need. Moreover, the VLR report presents a monitoring and follow-up framework for the attainment of the 2030 Agenda.
