東南アジア地域における急速な都市化と消費拡大に伴い、プラスチック廃棄物の発生量が急増し、プラスチック汚染が特に深刻な課題となっている。ASEAN諸国では、使い捨てプラスチックの禁止、拡大生産者責任（EPR）制度、普及啓発キャンペーンなど、さまざまな対策が進められている。しかし、これらの対策だけでは、根強く定着した消費行動を変えるのは難しい。 利用制限や普及啓発だけで十分な効果が得られないような課題に対し、行動科学は有効な補完的アプローチとなる。Behaviour-Centred （行動に関する理解に基づく、行動に焦点を当てた）アプローチを取り入れることで、単なる情報提供や経済的インセンティブに頼るのではなく、「意図と行動のギャップ」を埋め、持続可能な行動変容を促すことができる。...

本業務では、UNEP 国際資源パネル（IRP）、G7 資源効率性アライアンス、G20資源効率性対話、OECD 資源生産性・廃棄物作業部会（WPRPW）等、資源循環に関する国際会合への参加に伴う調査・分析、支援、また、循環経済パートナーシップ（J4CE）事務局の運営支援、気候変動枠組み条約第30 回締約国会議（COP30）における日本環境省主催のサイドイベントの企画・運営、また、海外各国の循環経済政策に関する調査・検討などの支援を行った。

本業務では、G20 海洋プラスチックごみ対策実施枠組に基づく第7次報告書の作成やOsaka Blue Ocean Visionに関するウェブサイトにおける各国の海洋プラスチック対策に関する情報の発信、海洋プラスチック対策に関するウェビナーの開催等の国際連携支援を行った。
