Alice YAMABE is a policy researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES).
She holds an MSc. in Sustainability from the United Nations University where her research focused on ICT-mediated surplus food redistribution in Japan.
Prior to joining IGES, she worked as an assistant in international cooperation for the Ministry of the Environment, Japan.
In her current position at IGES, she supports the development and implementation of commissioned projects on sustainable consumption and production and holds a coordination role for the Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Programme under the UN 10-Year Framework for Sustainable Consumption and Production.
