Research Manager
2017年より地球環境戦略研究機関（IGES） 北九州アーバンセンターの研究員。国連の持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）や気候変動・パリ協定ののローカライゼーション（地域での実用化）を専門とする。パリ協定の締約国会議（COP）の国際交渉（気候資金担当）に日本政府代表団員として、長年従事している。気候変動に関する政府間パネル（IPCC）第7次評価報告書の主執筆者。国際協力の現場においては、インドネシアにおける森林・泥炭地の火災を抑制する国際協力事業を日系企業と展開中。大学生向けのSDGsフィールド研修を毎年開催。
気候変動やSDGsを実感できるワークショップを提供している：「2030 SDGs ゲーム」や「レゴ®シリアス プレイ®メソッド」の公認ファシリテーター、国連模擬COP。大学におけるゲスト講師多数、高校における総合的な探求の時間の指導。北九州市「第14回女性活躍・ワークライフバランス表彰」個人部門受賞。
前職は、国際協力機構（JICA）の気候変動の専門家として、インドネシアに赴任し、インドネシア国家気候変動適応計画の策定を支援した。また、外務省・在ドイツ日本大使館の専門調査員として、国連気候変動枠組条約（UNFCCC）・京都議定書の国際交渉に従事した。

急激に都市化する開発途上国の都市においては、経済成長を維持しながら快適で持続可能な都市環境を実現していくために、効率的な資源循環や省エネ施策を推進し、環境負荷を最小限に留める「低炭素でレジリエントな持続可能な社会」への移行が重要な課題となっている。昨今、様々な国際的な枠組において、都市・自治体を含む非国家主体の重要性が認識されてきている。本業務では、このような都市の重要性に鑑み、本邦自治体や企業が有する都市の環境改善ノウハウや技術等を開発途上国の都市の課題やニーズに合致した形で提供することにより、都市間連携の強化を図ることを目的に、自治体のニーズ等の調査、パイロット研修の実施や情報発信業務を行った。
