2024年度、国立研究開発法人宇宙航空研究開発機構（JAXA）が有する衛星技術・データ・知見の国際環境政策への活用を促進するため、以下の業務を行った。本作業報告書では、これら活動の作業概要について報告する。 パリ協定における国家の温室効果ガス排出報告のための ALOS データの事例調査を活用したトレーニングの実施支援 昆明・モントリオール生物多様性枠組(GBF)モニタリング・フレームワーク調査

本業務では、国立研究開発法人宇宙航空研究開発機構（JAXA）が有する衛星技術・製品・知見の第１回グローバル・ストックテイク等の国際環境政策への活用促進に向けた調査や支援を実施することを目的とし、(1)グローバル・ストックテイクに関わる支援、(2)ALOS 事例調査と実用可能性調査、(3)グローバル・メタン・プレッジへの貢献に向けたGOSAT データ活用促進支援に関する3 つの業務を実施した。

本稿は、気候変動に関する政府間パネル（ IPCC ）の第 6 次評価報告書統合報告書（ AR6 SYR ）について、地球環境戦略研究機関（ IGES ）の 4 人の専門家がそれぞれの視点で注目するポイントをまとめたものです。

本業務では、国立研究開発法人宇宙航空研究開発機構（JAXA）が有する衛星技術・製品・知見の 第１回グローバル・ストックテイク等の国際環境政策への活用促進に向けた調査や支援を実施すること を目的とし、(1)グローバル・ストックテイクに関わる支援、(2)衛星データ活用に向けたニーズマッピン グと事例調査、(3)温室効果ガス観測戦略支援に関する3 つの業務を実施した。

本プレゼンテーションは、第１回グローバル・ストックテイク（GST）における“最良の科学”の在り方について議論を深めるため、以下の点について話題提供を行う。 第１回グローバル・ストックテイク（GST）も終盤を迎え、その成果は2023年11月のCOP28の目玉となる。 “最良の科学”に基づくGSTは、幅広い情報のインプットを受け入れているものの、成果取りまとめまでのプロセスはより透明性を向上すべきである。 COP28でまとまるGSTの成果は、各国の文脈できちんとその意味が理解されなければならない。科学者には、この成果の伝達にも大きな役割があると考える。
