2024年11月に仙台で開催された第16回エコバランス会議で開催されたシンポジウムにおいて、日本およびアジアでLCAやSCP研究を 主導する研究者を交えて、今後の持続可能な消費と生産に関する研究に期待される役割を論じた。 日本LCA学会の国際連携賞受賞を記念して、アジア太平洋持続可能な消費と生産円卓会議(APRSCP)と2016年度~2020年度まで実施された環境研究総合推進費戦略的研究プロジェクトS-16“PECoP-Asia”の共同研究者が企画したものである。 IGESの堀田は、APRSCP会長およびS-16のテーマリーダーとして、本発表を行った。
