中国は、再生可能エネルギー(再エネ)設備の導入量を確実に伸ばしている。2018年6月末まで、中国における風力発電、太陽光発電設備導入量は、それぞれ、1.7億kWと1.5億kWに達した。内、太陽光発電設備導入量は、すでに2020年導入目標1.1億kWを4000万kW以上も上回る快挙を果たした。しかし、中国は、長年、再エネ発電量が無駄に捨てられる問題に悩まされている。
