Publication Series: Asia-Pacific Climate Security (APCS) Discussion Papers

Aimed at scholars, policymakers and practitioners working at the intersection of climate change and security in the Asia-Pacific region, this series draws on case studies from South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific to examine how climate change acts as a risk multiplier in one of the world’s most vulnerable and strategically significant regions.
Produced over three years of dedicated research, this work reflects IGES long-standing commitment to generating actionable knowledge that bridges environmental science, policy and regional realities. We encourage you to read the series, share it with your networks, and help bring climate security to the top of the policy agenda.
Furthermore, the proceedings of the international ACPS symposium held in January 2026 are also available.
