Launch of the Special Website 'Circulating and Ecological Sphere (CES)'
The Circulating and Ecological Sphere (CES) Approach is a comprehensive methodology designed to foster collaboration between urban and rural communities in addressing climate change and advancing sustainable development. Working alongside regional partners, IGES helps rural communities harness their locally available natural capital more effectively. This approach nurtures co-benefits that support human well-being, drive economic growth, and enhance environmental sustainability.
This webpage showcases initiatives that promote the CES Approach across the Asia-Pacific region by highlighting key research findings and providing decision-making tools that support the practical application of CES strategies.
A key feature of this work is the AgriVolt Navigator tool, which assists stakeholders in determining the suitability of agrivoltaics projects. The tool serves a diverse range of users—policymakers, practitioners, researchers and private sector actors—operating at local, national and international levels. By supporting integrated sustainability and climate action, the AgriVolt Navigator contributes to globally shared goals such as the SDGs and the Paris Agreement.
