The international demand for technological and business development is growing, aimed at realising a decarbonised society and circular economy. In the case of automotive recycling, in addition to the traditional recycling and appropriate waste management, it is becoming increasingly important to create systems for the reuse and upcycling of materials and parts.
This symposium focused on the sustainable use and resource circulation of automotive products and parts from the perspective of building a circular economy. Experts from industry, government, and academia shared advanced examples from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, as well as the current situation in the ASEAN region. They also discussed opportunities for international collaboration to promote circular practices in the automotive sector.
