Designing energy SDG based on the successful cases of bottom up renewable energy governance

Conference Paper

The research aims to analyze lessons learned from the best cases of energy efficiency improvement and renewable energy deployment, which took place in a bottom up fashion at community level both in developed and developing country contexts to identify key success factors and enabling conditions and to identify what additional considerations are required in the communities of developing countries, which face more serious challenges in terms of technology, finance and capacity amid other serious challenges such as poverty.
Based on the analysis, it also touches upon what considerations can be useful for goals/targets/indicators setting of SDGs/Post 2015 Development Agenda to assist countries to implement policy measures to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy from the perspectives of communities in the developing countries.
