The novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has brought countries around the world to a standstill for most of 2020. This event will begin with expert presentations about the broad range of topics the book has covered on COVID-19 and its impacts on various socio-environmental processes, which have both direct and indirect consequences on human well-being. Also, it will present different ways forward in order to achieve global goals, with a specific focus on the SDGs.

The latter half of the session will be a panel discussion, where experts will discuss the various challenges and opportunities lying ahead of us during this pandemic and how to make our society more resilient to absorb future shocks in a better way. In summary, this webinar will offer a crucial examination of the intersectionality between climate, sustainability, the environment, and public health within the context of the pandemic. It offers different viable management solutions for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in environmental science.
