【ISAP2024】 The 16th International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific “Taking an Integrated Approach to Overcome the Triple Planetary Crisis”

IGES will host the 16th International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP2024). This year, the Plenary Sessions will be held on Tuesday, 23 July at Pacifico Yokohama as a hybrid event, with participation in-person and online. ISAP is a forum where experts, international organisations, government, business and NGO representatives gather to engage in diverse discussions on sustainable development from an Asia-Pacific perspective. The overarching theme of ISAP2024 is "Taking an Integrated Approach to Overcome the Triple Planetary Crisis." The forum will delve into strategies that address the three current global crises: climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental pollution.

The Fourth Workshop on 1.5°C Lifestyles in Kitakyushu: Experience a lifestyle that reduces global warming through food (29 July, 6 and 10 August)

In recent years, amidst a growing movement to reflect the voices of the younger generation in society towards solutions to climate change and other global environmental problems, IGES will organise a practical workshop that creates opportunities for individuals to transform their lifestyles, and invites students from junior high school, high school, vocational, universities and postgraduate programmes, who will become future leaders of local society. This year's event, the fourth in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, will consider lifestyles that reduce greenhouse gases from food through workshops, a study tour and a 1.5°C Lifestyle Challenge.
