発展途上国における従来型の都市廃棄物管理から排出される温室効果ガス（GHG）は、地球規模の気候変動に大きな影響を及ぼしています。本ポリシー・ブリーフでは、様々な廃棄物管理法だけでなく、統合型廃棄物管理システムからのGHG排出に関する定量的評価を実施し、気候変動緩和に対する統合型廃棄物システムの有効性を評価しています。同時に、統合型廃棄物を推進し、最適な政策を策定・実施する上での地方自治体の役割についても概要を示しています。
