Climate change adaptation: A menu of issues and solutions

Over the years, climate change adaptation has evolved to cover a range of issues providing long-term solutions to even the chronic developmental issues that couldn't be addressed with traditional solutions. The discourse on climate change adaptation has broadened the understanding of risk and risk management among stakeholders that contributed to developing robust solutions across sectors and regions. Solutions that were otherwise considered not practical are increasingly been considered with a positive view. These transformative changes in risk governance are not well captured in the ongoing research and attribution of adaptation benefits. With this background in view, the presentation provided an elaborate story of how climate change adaptation evolved over the years and what it meant for the overall climate change discourse in specific and risk governance in general.
