From Crisis to Synergy: The world faces a triple planetary crisis — climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Addressing these interconnected challenges requires integrated, synergistic solutions across all sectors. Building on the UNEA-6 Synergy Resolution, this official COP30 side event brings together governments, international organizations, business leaders, and youth to showcase real-world examples of synergy in action — from policy and finance to innovation and partnerships.

The event will highlight UNEP’s global leadership, new insights from the Asia-Pacific Synergy Report (APSR), and pioneering opportunity and initiatives such as Japan’s opportunity of Greenx EXPO 2027 and WBCSD’s Global Circularity Protocol for Business.

Through an interactive dialogue among UNEP, IUCN, WBCSD, ADB, IGES, and others, participants will explore concrete pathways to accelerate integrated transformations — linking nature, climate, and people toward the 2030 Agenda and beyond.

The discussion will contribute to shaping UNEA-7 deliberations on synergistic implementation of the multilateral environmental agreements.
