Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) Kitakyushu Urban Center is organizing a 3-day on-site program in Kitakyushu City of Fukuoka Prefecture for university and graduate students who reside in and out of Kitakyushu City. The program is designed to foster the SDGs perspective through seeing, listening, discussing, and thinking about how the renewable energy industry is revitalizing the economy and society in Kitakyushu City, a leading Japan's SDGs Future City. The participants visited the Kitakyushu City’s Environment Museum, hydrogen town in the Higashida district and the renewable energy facilities and offshore wind farm currently under construction in the Hibikinada district.
