This session aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and sharing experiences of good practices regarding the utilisation of VLRs as a means to structure the follow-up and review processes of the 2030 Agenda at the local level. Through this session, participants had the opportunity to delve into the practical aspects of implementing VLRs and explore their impact on local sustainable development efforts. The session featured a deep-dive discussion led by experts and practitioners experienced in developing and implementing VLRs in the Asia-Pacific region. Participants gained insights into successful ways to employ VLRs as a tool to create a follow-up and review framework that support decision-making in local governments to accelerate progress towards delivering the SDGs. This included discussion on methodologies, data collection strategies, stakeholder engagement approaches, and lessons learned. The session was also incorporated a dedicated time for interactive Q&A, allowing participants to ask questions, seek guidance, and engage in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. The interactive elements of the session promoted collaborative learning, inspire innovative approaches, and provide participants with practical tools and recommendations to enhance their own follow-up and review processes using VLRs.
