The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) works towards better policies for better lives with expertise in many areas, including economics, education, environment, and development assistance. The OECD is a key provider of policy recommendations and data to the G7, G20 and other international policy processes. At this symposium, attendees learned about the OECD's work in climate change and the environment, including its contributions to the G7 Sapporo Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy, and Environment in Japan. The symposium also discussed the OECD's expected role in addressing global challenges, such as transitioning towards a decarbonized society and a nature-positive economy that halts biodiversity loss and promotes recovery.
