Since Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad introduced “Look East Policy” in 1982, this year is the 40th year anniversary. There are collaborations on climate actions, especially city to city collaborations towards carbon neutral society. This side event focuses on collaborate climate actions between Japan and Malaysia and we will discuss the “way forward”.
IGES has conducted research activities on low/zero carbon scenarios/roadmaps development with University Technology Malaysia (UTM) using Asia-Pacific Integrated Model (AIM) models and other organisations more than 10 years at national and local levels. Now it is time to take actions and we will introduce our best practices through these activities.
