HLPF 2021 Side Event

“Integrating the SDGs into Business Operations and Supply Chains in Asia and the Pacific”

13 July 2021, 20:30-22:00 (Japan time) /7:30-9:00 AM (New York Time)

While achieving the SDGs requires decisive action by many stakeholders, strong leadership from the business community is becoming increasingly important. At the same time, it is also critical that business leadership extends beyond marketing slogans or corporate responsibility programmes. Rather, it requires that corporations fully integrate the SDGs into core planning and budgeting processes as well as across transnational supply chains. Though there is growing business interest in incorporating the SDGs into internal and supplier operations, knowledge and experiences concerning such integration remains limited.

At this 90-minutes High Level Political Forum (HLPF) Side Event representatives from different organisations will share their experiences on greening operations, promoting social dialogue and decent work programmes, and working to advance sustainable supply chains.
