Aligning international finance for the net-zero economy: A common challenge for Japan and Germany

Tuesday 8 February 2022, 8:00-9:30 am (CET) / 4:00-5:30 pm (JST)

Having a common challenge to move away from coal, Germany and Japan are accelerating energy transitions and promoting innovation. At the Cornwall G7, G7 countries including the two agreed to commit to an end of unabated coal power export.

This webinar shared the perspectives on decarbonisation policy in both countries, while discussing new initiatives to help Southeast Asian countries and South Africa move away from coal-fired power plants, which both countries are engaged in.
