Training Workshop on Writing Proposals for the Joint Crediting Mechanism

On 19 February 2020, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the Department of Environment (DoE) on behalf of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, jointly organised a training workshop on writing proposals for the JCM Financing Programme, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 

The first JCM workshop was organized in Dhaka last October. Feedback from attendees revealed that many wondered what kind of information and documents are required to apply for the equipment subsidy project. To answer these questions, this follow-up workshop was organized with about 50 participants, mainly from the private sector. An IGES researcher gave an overview of the application and necessary information by using sample proposal documents. Participants wrote draft proposals based on their project information, and joined a Q&A session. An active discussion took place throughout the workshop, which gave attendees a valuable opportunity to understand how to develop projects for applying to the JCM Financing Programme.
