UNFCCC-COP25 Side Event

How the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) could address the achievement of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

This side event will discuss how JCM partner countries can achieve their NDCs through JCM implementation. This event also will discuss how the JCM can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are closely related to the environment, society and economy. During this side event, the Ministry of the Environment, Japan and officials from two partner countries will report on the current progress. Moreover, an IGES researcher will introduce examples of contributions to SDGs through JCM projects.
