IGES will co-organise this event, jointly hosted with the Ministry of the Environment, Government of Japan (MOEJ) and the Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC) as the secretariat of the Article 6 Implementation Partnership Center (A6IP). This event is a significant step towards enhancing the integrity of carbon markets globally.

Our primary aim is to share the recent advancements and progress achieved under A6IP. This will provide an insightful platform for stakeholders to understand the strides made in this critical area of environmental strategy. A key focus will be on discussing the latest capacity-building tools and the support package developed by A6IP. We will explore the most effective ways to implement these tools, ensuring that they contribute significantly to our collective environmental goals. Furthermore, the event aims to foster engagement with various countries and agencies. This collaboration is essential for accelerating the implementation of Article 6. By bringing together different perspectives and expertise, we aim to facilitate a robust dialogue that will drive forward our shared commitment to sustainable environmental practices.
